Shades of scorpions?
My first exposure to Greek mythology was through the 1960s produced cartoon, The Mighty Hercules. This must have been a quality cartoon to last over two decades. I haven't heard of C.O.P.S., Inspector Gadget, or another of the cartoons I grew up with being played today.
What is bugging me about remembering watching Herc is that I cannot remember what the line he uses when he meets one of his many challenges (many winged creatures, fire-breathing monster, etc). I thought it was "Shades of scorpions!" but when I scream it out in my best "mortal born by the gods" voice, it doesn't convey the same sort of desperate situation.
