Pointy eared creatures potentially brought SARS into homes
Everyone always laughs at me when I talk about the evils of cats and how this should be so obvious by their pointy little ears. Well, it took what was probably a lot of expensive scientific study and an article in Nature, but I think I now have evidence to support why I don't love the house variety of felines. (I do feel sorry for the critters though if their susceptibility to infection leads to their use as an animal model for SARS studies.)
Keep your eyes on Science because it won't be long before they publish results showing that children have increased secretions of sticky substances from their skin surfaces.
