Matthew Kennedy has written a less elementary version of the Jane/Dick/Spot readers that I remember from the primary grades.

Be warned that this is not the story of seeing, running, and going that you may remember of this girl-boy-dog trio. When it comes to censorship of books in elementary schools, parents or school boards may have a legitimate case of keeping this book away from the kids.
