Spiritualized

Spiritualized played an free acoustic set (well, I wouldn't normally consider three, maybe four, songs a set, but I guess they have to save their throat and chops for the paying listeners tonight) this afternoon at Virgin Music Megastore. The showstopper was the final song they performed. What at first seemed like the band just tuning up turned into this mesmorizing soundtrack-ish exercise in dissonance and consonance. (How's that for finally putting to use those months/years of studying music theory?) Very cool.

I don't know much about the band, but I think I will be finding out more very soon.
